
Applegarth Primary School wins gold award for outdoor play

Applegarth Primary School has received an OPAL Gold Award in recognition of its commitment to improving lunchtime play.
Kate Gallon, Applegarth’s OPAL mentor said: “Playtimes at Applegarth Primary School are truly amazing where creativity and imagination happens everyday, for every child. Such a joyful place to be, where children have rich opportunities for rich exploration, excitement and fun.”
Headteacher Kate Maxwell said: “It is amazing news for our school to be officially recognised at the gold level but even more so because we are the first Northallerton school to become an OPAL school.”
