
Wigton school wins national award for ‘transforming’ outdoor play

It was fantastic to see Thomlinson Junior School in Wigton getting a mention in the News and Star, which ran a story about the school’s well-deserved OPAL Platinum Award.
Deputy Headteacher Angela Brown, told the publication: “This award is a testament to the hard work and vision of our entire school community. It’s about giving children the freedom and tools to play in ways that build confidence, resilience, and joy.”
